Today we visit interior architect and lifestyle blogger Jacquelyn Clark. Her motto: “good design should be inspiring, uplifting, comforting and totally and completely you.“
Where is your house located and who do you live with?
I live downtown Toronto, Canada, with my boyfriend, Justin.
What makes your house your home?
As an interior designer, I really do love home „stuff“. I mean, it’s been bred into me. That said, it’s the company I keep that most definitely makes my house my home. I mean, without Justin, or my friends and family who often pop by, I wouldn’t want a single thing I own.
What do you love most about your space?
The natural light. We face south, with no obstructions from other tall buildings (a blessing in a big city!), and the light that floods in here each and every day is beautiful. Even in the dead of winter! It makes those grey wintry days much easier to get through.
What is your favorite thing to do at home?
We live in a relatively small condo, which means we have a relatively small condo couch. Snuggling on the couch always means we have to contort ourselves into pretzel-like shapes and it’s never comfortable. So on nights when we want to totally veg out with a movie and a take-out pizza, we move the coffee table out of the way and blow up the air mattress. It takes up our entire living room floor and it’s pretty much the coziest thing ever. It’s definitely both of our favourite activities around here.
Sum up your home life in one sentence.
Less house, more home.
Thank you Jacquelin for sharing your home with us.
